a non-profit fund dedicated to promoting local programs in which
dogs serve & support THEIR best friends
At Pawsh, our pets are our best friends and an important part of our families. We love to style, pamper and groom them. We love to run, jump and play with them. They are close to our hearts and help make our lives whole. In addition to being our best buddies, our pets give back to us in countless ways. They give us kisses when we walk through the door. They give unconditional love on days we deserve it and more importantly on those days we do not . They cuddle and comfort us when we aren’t feeling our best or simply need to feel their warmth against our skin.
We all know pets have a natural capacity to make us feel better, cared for and unconditionally loved. But when working for people in need, they are capable of so much more. They visit sick children and the elderly in hospitals and work beside police in dangerous patrols. They track and locate lost hikers and lead the blind across busy intersections. The listen patiently as stories are read to them, and they give the hope of rehabilitation to inmates behind bars.
Therapy dogs. Service dogs. Dogs as Tutors. Search & rescue dogs. Police dogs. We at Pawsh believe that all "working" dogs deserve support and celebration. Their work not only enhances human lives, but serves to build a stronger community.
The mission of The Fairy Dog Mothers is to promote and celebrate programs in which dogs serve and support their best friends.

The Evolution of Pawsh's Philanthropy.
From the first conversation about building a company which foucses on the lifestyles of area pets, Pawsh’s founder knew she wanted to build a socially responsible company that celebrates and enhances the lives of pets and their people, as well as improves the local community by giving back.
In 2007, Pawsh established The Fairy Dog Mothers Fund, a grant-making fund (overseen by 501(c)(3) The Christopher Foundation) with an ambitious agenda: to fund creative and effective programs working for community growth, animal welfare, and education. The Fairy Dog Mothers Fund was conceived to give back and help our state and local community, our animals and our children through inventive and progressive grantmaking. The goal is to generate knowledge, develop new solutions to problems and promote activities that strengthen our community.
As a company that celebrates all things pet, and that is supported by customers who cherish their pets, it made perfect sense to focus our philanthropy to support the many ways in which our pets enrich our lives and give back so much to people in need. We are extremely proud of the groundwork we have laid in innovative corporate giving, active learning, and careful reflection. We are extremely excited to build upon this foundation of giving with The Fairy Dog Mothers Fund.
